Tuition fees for our Master's degrees

At CODE, we want to attract the most motivated and talented – not the most privileged

As a private university, we are not funded by the state. Therefore, we require a financial contribution from our students. The tuition fees for studying at CODE are typically €650 - €1,250 per month (depending on your program).

However, we want to ensure that everyone with the talent and motivation to study at CODE can do so – regardless of their financial situation.

That’s why we created the "Pay Later Model." We firmly believe that our students, after graduating from CODE, will work in positions that put them in a significantly better financial position. And the facts speak for themselves so far: Our graduates are among the highest-earning graduates in Europe.

In our "Pay Later Model" you only start repaying your tuition fees once you earn a significant income after graduation. If your income falls below a certain minimum threshold, you won’t pay a cent.

On the other hand, if you’re financially thriving after your studies, you’ll never pay more than twice the amount of students who paid upfront. Why? Because we’re not here to profit off you. Our goal is to make CODE a sustainable model for the future – and to use the funds to support the next generation of students.

This Pay Later Option is available for international students as well.

Full-time degree payment options

When you decide to study full-time, you can choose which ECTS track you want to take. The study time (and thus your tuition) depends on which track you choose.

  • 120 ECTS will take you 24 months.
  • 60 ECTS will take you 12 months.

There are three different ways to pay for your studies at CODE, find all the information you need below. All options are available for all students, no matter where you're from.

Additional funding options

BAföG

BAföG is a popular German student funding program providing financial aid to those whose families can’t cover education costs. It’s half a grant, half an interest-free loan, with repayment starting up to five years after graduation and capped at €10,000.

KfW student loans

The KfW loan is a popular financing option for students aged 18-44, providing monthly payouts between €100 and €650. Unlike grants, these funds must be repaid with interest, starting after graduation or an 18-23 month grace period.

Flexible payout amounts and repayment terms make it easier to cover living costs during studies. Terms and rates vary by provider.

Working student job

While CODE is a full-time program, our flexible learning approach lets you work during your studies. From day one, you gain practical skills that make you stand out in job applications. Our strong partner network and start-up ecosystem help you find suitable roles.
