Your way to CODE
Here are all the details you need to know about our admission process
Just as demanding and rewarding as our study programs
At CODE, we worked hard to develop a unique admission process that is an exciting learning experience in itself and not just a necessary administrative annoyance. And don’t worry if you think you don’t yet know enough about digital product development to shine in the admission process. We are primarily assessing your motivation and potential to be successful at CODE.
Our admission process is unique: you are not competing with other applicants for a spot. Instead, we’re assessing if you’re a good fit for our unique learning model and culture! We cannot enroll an unlimited number of students, but there is no fixed number of places to fill.
A new approach to learning
Our admission process is designed to find out if CODE is the right place for you - and you are the right person for CODE. This is why our admission process aims to challenge your drive and curiosity - and this is how:
Step 1
Written application
Submit your documents through our application portal. We are eager to get to know you and will ask you various questions — no technical knowledge is required. Just be yourself.
Step 2
Personal video call
In the second step, you’ll have a conversation with the admission team. We want to get to know you personally and also make sure you have all the important information about studying at CODE and about the next steps. It’s not a traditional interview, but an open exchange – and a great opportunity for you to ask us any questions you might have.
Step 3
Admission Day
For the final step, we will invite you to Berlin. You will spend one day at CODE and work on a group project together with other applicants. Afterwards you’ll have a final interview. For international students we also offer remote admission days. You’ll be informed whether you receive an offer for a study contract a few days later.
A special approach to learning requires special students
We have a special approach to learning and teaching at CODE, which is why we are looking for students who want to learn and work differently. We are looking for special talents, so we don’t believe that standardized test results or school grades will be much help in our selection process. What we can promise you is that we evaluate all applicants equally, with no preferential treatment given regarding gender, sexual orientation, or social background. Here you can find our official admission regulations.

There is always a gift in any challenge.
