Berlin, 12.6. 2019 – Telekom Innovation Laboratories (T-Labs), Deutsche Telekom’s central research and innovation unit, signs up a partnership with CODE University of Applied Sciences (CODE), a Berlin-based private state-accredited university. By doing so, T-Labs extends its academic network and drives further its research projects oriented towards developing Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) highlighting future technology applications.

Cooperating with CODE will provide T-Labs with the opportunity to foster new project ideas through a constant exchange with CODE students.  The students will have the opportunity to contribute to T-Labs innovation projects in the focus areas blockchain, intelligence, and experience.

The newly established partnership will also contribute in the future, to joint projects with other Deutsche Telekom departments in the future. Deutsche Telekom will take an active part in driving the curricula of CODE, focusing on experiential and challenge based learning. CODE’s students will get involved in corporate projects. Their fresh input and alternative views will enable faster and innovative resolution of operational challenges.

Thomas Bachem, Founder and Chancellor of CODE mentioned: “The collaboration with T-Labs will give our students the opportunity to work on exciting projects in the focus areas blockchain and intelligence. We are certain that our students will benefit hugely from the close exchange with tech experts at Telekom and their academic network.”

“T-Labs and CODE are both driven by curiosity, forward-thinking and entrepreneurial spirit. This cooperation, set up at the intersection of research and technology experimentation, is focused on execution. It has the power to shape up positively the way we operate, develop and create technology solutions, with strategic impact.
