CODE University of Applied Sciences Berlin invites applications for several positions in the

Humanities and Social Sciences

CODE is a newly-founded private university of applied sciences that is embedded into the vibrant network of Berlin’s digital economy. The core of our study programs are real-world projects, accompanied by seminars and workshops with an advanced flipped-classroom concept. Together with a network of industry partners, our goal is to provide students with a practical, real-world, and digitally-oriented education.
We are looking for several profiles for our complementary liberal arts program (“Science, Technology, and Society”). We invite applications from all humanities, arts, and social sciences. Especially we are looking to fill:

  • A full-time position in either economics, political theory and policy, or related social sciences, preferably with a specialisation in technology
  • Several fixed-term positions (“Lehrauftrag”) in philosophy, for co-teaching a course in the history of ideas .

Job Qualifications

  • PhD in a relevant discipline, completed or nearly completed (required for all positions),
  • Intellectual personality with a commitment to ideas and the arts, as well as a documented interest in technology.
    • CODE is looking for creative and responsive individuals, who are happy to work together and identify with an institution where the land is still being laid. Diverse backgrounds, skill-sets and biographies will be highly appreciated.

      Job start would be 1st September 2019. German language skills are not required.
