Working in an interdisciplinary environment in this position requires bridging to our Interaction Design and Product Management study programs. We also emphasize critical reflection upon challenges and consequences for society — which finds its place in our liberal arts program (STS).
You need to be comfortable with communicating and teaching in English; international experience is an asset. German language skills are not a requirement.
Candidates must meet the formal requirements as stated in §100 Berliner Hochschulgesetz. This typically requires five years of relevant work experience, at least three of them outside higher education. The candidate’s academic qualification for a professorship is usually demonstrated by a doctorate or a Ph.D. Pedagogical experience is also required.
CODE values different perspectives and is committed to a respectful, inclusive and diverse work environment and encourages people of all genders, backgrounds, and origins to apply. We especially welcome applications from women and people from groups underrepresented in today’s academia. Qualified candidates with disabilities will be favored.
We are looking for versatile, dedicated, and widely interested and interesting individuals who are open to learning, to listening with curiosity, and to both giving and receiving feedback as part of routine reflection. We have a strong commitment to our community, to supporting and learning from each other, to development, and to building a familial work atmosphere. Candidates would join a university startup in the center of Berlin where the foundations are still being laid.
CODE offers full- and part-time professorships.
Just as our learning concept is centered on a challenge-based approach, where students learn by working in transdisciplinary teams, so is our team.
