Liviu Mantescu is Political Economist with focus on the influence of Industry 4.0 on natural ecosystems.
He worked in Burssels and many EU countries advocating for including the stock of natural resources in economic modeling. As a reseacrher, he pursued fundamental reseacrh at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies, UC Berkeley and the Humboldt University in Berlin on comparative governace models, village commons property regimes and mapping of natural ecosystem services. His book manuscript ‚Margins and Nature: Effectivness in Environmental Governance‘ is under review at Routledge Press.
Liviu is co-founder of Watergenics, a company building a network of non-invasive sensors for measuring process-depended water and nutrient runoffs in agriculture, and founder of ESOLIS EcoSystem Services, a consultancy agency with focus on the importance of natural capital assets on investment and policy-making.
