Dr. Florencia Noriega

Senior Lecturer in Software Engineering

Florencia is fascinated about nature, music, coding and learning new things.

She is trained as a physicist with an interdisciplinary background that includes topics such as quantum optics, cell metabolism and animal vocalizations. The link among those subjects? The art of deriving knowledge from data. Regardless of the origin of the data – whether it comes from an experiment with entangled photons, the production of ATP or the singing of a whale at sea – analyzing data can bring enormous insights.

Florencia holds a PhD from the International Max Planck Research School for Physics of Biological and Complex Systems and since 2019 is a software engineering lecturer at CODE.
